Position title* Sales Manager, Containment Equipment Description* Hosokawa Micron Powder Systems provides size reduction systems and powder processing solutions for chemical, pharmaceutical, food, mineral, plastics, and cosmetic applications. Throughout our history, we have led the industry in coarse to ultra-fine grinding, classification, mixing, drying, containment, compaction, and analytical equipment. The Sales Manager, Containment Equipment, is responsible for the promotion and sales of containment equipment in the fields of Pharmaceutical, Biopharmaceutical, Cell and Gene Therapy products. Responsibilities* * Arrange and conduct sales visits with prospective clients and engineering company presentations and technical Q&A sessions. * Qualify and pursue sales leads for containment equipment in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, cell and gene therapy product fields * Work with the Pharmaceutical Applications Manager to promote and sell containment equipment * Engage with customers through extended Q&A sessions, exhibitions, and attend virtual/in-person customer meetings * Review and interpret customer documents * Obtain quotes from sub-suppliers * Perform calculations and generate quotations * Negotiate orders * Assist the Marketing Department with the development of literature, signage, and tools to be used at various sales events, exhibitions, and on the company website. * Run sales reports and basic statistical analysis * Analyze trends * Other duties as required Qualifications* Basic: * Associates degree from an accredited university * 2+ years of sales or procurement experience with industrial equipment, notably containment processes for the pharmaceutical OR chemical markets * 3+ years experience as an end user of industrial containment equipment * 2+ years experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint Preferred: * Bachelors or Masters of Science degree in Chemistry, Physics, Math or Engineering * 2+ years experience client site visits and conducting presentations. Physical Requirements: * Domestic and International travel (10%-30%) - Initial training of up to 2 weeks will take place in the UK. * Must be able to constantly remain in a stationary position, while working at a desk * Must be able to frequently remain in an upright position while visiting client sites, attending trade shows.
