Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Inside Counter Sales Representative to join our team at a local building materials company and hardware store. In this role, you will be a point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service and support while assisting them with their purchases. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a knack for sales, and the ability to engage with a diverse clientele. Responsibilities * Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products that meet their needs. * Provide knowledgeable information about products and services to enhance customer experience. * Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system. * Maintain a clean and organized sales counter and display areas. * Handle customer inquiries and professionally resolve issues. * Utilize retail math skills to assist customers with pricing, discounts, and promotions. * Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and improve overall store performance. * Stay informed about product knowledge, promotions, and industry trends to effectively communicate with customers. Qualifications * Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred. Previous hardware/lumber experience is a plus. * Strong communication skills * Proficiency in retail math to assist with transactions and pricing inquiries. * Ability to build rapport with customers and provide exceptional service. * Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks. * A positive attitude and willingness to learn about new products and services. * Reliable transportation * Dependable personality * Pay to be determined on experience. * Bilingual a plus, though not required.
