Job Summary: Goodyear Rubber Products is seeking a Customer Service Representative/ Counter sales person to join our team. Please note we are an industrial rubber and hydraulic hose distributor and not the tire company. We an over 75 year old privately owned industrial distributor. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined and be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, resolving customer inquiries, and promoting additional services to enhance the customer experience. Candidate will have ability to read and measure using tape measure, calipers, and other measurement tools. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Must have reliable transportation. Must have mechanical aptitude or experience. Duties: - Accurately Measure and identify different types of hose fitting threads. - crimp and/or clamp hydraulic and industrial hoses for customers - Answer incoming customer calls and emails promptly and professionally - Assist customers with product information, pricing, and availability. - Process orders, returns, and exchanges accurately in the system - Resolve customer complaints effectively and efficiently - Utilize upselling techniques to increase sales revenue - Maintain a high level of product knowledge through training to provide accurate information to customers Experience: - Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred - Must be mechanically inclined - Proficiency in English is required; fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required - Strong phone etiquette skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively - Ability to analyze customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions - Experience with sales or upselling techniques is advantageous Join our team as a Customer Service / Counter sales Representative and enjoy competitive pay, opportunities for career growth, and a supportive work environment.
