About Us: We are a growing medical billing services company committed to providing comprehensive, efficient, and compliant billing solutions for healthcare providers. Based in Michigan, we work with medical professionals and facilities to streamline their revenue cycle management, optimize reimbursements, and improve financial performance. As we expand, we are seeking a dedicated Business Development Manager (BDM) to help drive our growth and bring in new clients from across Michigan and beyond. Job Summary: The Business Development Manager (BDM) will play a key role in driving the growth of our client base by identifying, engaging, and closing new business opportunities within the healthcare industry. This position is focused on building relationships with physicians, medical groups, hospitals, and healthcare organizations, educating them on our medical billing services, and ultimately growing revenue for the company. The ideal candidate will have experience in business development or sales, preferably in medical billing , healthcare services, or a related industry. Key Responsibilities: * Client Acquisition : * Identify and target new healthcare clients (e.g., doctors' offices, clinics, hospitals, and healthcare organizations) in Michigan and surrounding areas. * Generate leads through cold calling, email outreach, networking events, and leveraging online platforms such as LinkedIn. * Conduct sales presentations and effectively communicate the value of our medical billing services to prospective clients. * Negotiate contracts and secure new accounts, meeting both short-term and long-term revenue goals. * Relationship Building : * Establish and nurture long-term, trusting relationships with key decision-makers within healthcare organizations. * Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective clients, offering solutions and addressing client needs. * Engage in consultative sales by understanding the unique challenges of potential clients and offering tailored solutions. * Market Research & Strategy: * Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and new technologies in medical billing. * Develop targeted sales strategies to capture new market segments and grow brand awareness in Michigan. * Provide input and feedback to the leadership team on customer needs, competitive landscape, and market trends. * Collaboration with Internal Teams : * Work closely with the marketing team to develop sales collateral, presentations, and digital content that aligns with client needs. * Partner with the operations and billing team to ensure smooth client onboarding and service delivery. * Assist in creating proposals, contracts, and pricing structures based on client requirements. * Sales Reporting : * Track, manage, and report on sales activities, leads, and client acquisition progress. * Maintain a robust CRM system to manage and track all client interactions and sales pipeline. * Regularly report on sales performance to senior management and adjust strategies as needed to meet objectives. Qualifications: * Experience : * Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management in the healthcare services industry. Medical billing experience is a significant plus. * Proven track record of hitting sales targets and generating new business. * Experience with consultative selling and relationship management. * Skills : * Strong sales skills with the ability to close deals and build lasting client relationships. * Knowledge of medical billing processes , healthcare regulations (such as HIPAA), and industry terminology is preferred. * Excellent communication and negotiation skills. * Strong presentation abilities and the ability to explain complex billing processes in simple terms. * Ability to work independently and manage multiple sales opportunities simultaneously. * Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). * Education : * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration , Healthcare Management , Sales/Marketing , or related field preferred. * Location : * Based in Michigan, with flexibility for remote or hybrid work.
