Job Title: On Premise Sales Representative Position Overview: This individual is passionate, innovative, and self- motivated with a business-oriented and customer-focused mindset who can maximize sales of our suppliers' brands through effective planning, selling, brand building initiatives and organizational skills. The primary responsibilities are to visit On Premise customers, have effective sales conversations, and increase sales revenue for our customers, sales teams and company. Primary Responsibilities: * Build positive, credible, lasting customer relationships based on trust and knowledge. * Develop a customer business growth plan for each account to drive incremental sales above base business. * Analyze data and insights to increase sales, grow customer business, and better achieve company and supplier objectives. * Regularly and consistently pre-plan account visits with an agenda to maximize effectiveness of presentations and time. * Visit accounts regularly, take effective notes, and build plans considering previous visit results and document in our CRM tool. * Maintain strong knowledge of products/pricing and correctly present and position them in each account to maximize visibility. * Propose selling ideas to each customer and win the sale using consultative selling skills. * Achieve distribution, volume and brand building goals as prioritized by leadership. * Manage customer issues with management and refer them to management as needed. * Adapt the selling approach based on each customer's buying styles and individual business needs. * Be knowledgeable and experienced in all accounts, stay current with what competitors are offering and how products are positioned compared to competitor's brands. * Educate on premise account staff with training to ensure brand pull through to the consumer. * Open new accounts continuously to develop brand and revenue growth. * Participate in sales meetings, on-site training, and supplier events as requested. * Manage inventory levels and alert management of new placements to offset any low inventory issues. * Prepare and execute professional sales presentations to customers by balancing the company's priorities and customers' needs to include selling new products, well and back bar placements, drink and wine lists, as well as promotions. * Attain a high standard of performance goals by achieving distribution, volume, and KPI goals of supplier brands as set by management. * Build brand visibility within accounts by using effective and current point of sale materials when and where appropriate. * Manage account receivables for the company by collecting and delivering checks or other remittance from accounts. * Maintain professional relationships with suppliers by participating in effective supplier work with sales calls and sales blitzes. * Remain informed of company/supplier activities and updates by attending and actively participating in weekly or monthly sales meetings. * Complete all necessary training programs by attending, participating, and passing all required tests as defined by management (e.g., Sales Skills, Pocket Advantage). * Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and share best practices. * Approaches others in a tactful manner; Reacts well under pressure, treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position. Accepts responsibility for own actions and follows through on commitments. Minimum Qualifications: * High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree is preferred. * Ability to hold a Solicitor's Permit required. * A minimum of two years in sales or industry-related experience required. * An understanding of wine and spirits is preferred. Individuals with strong accounting, computer, customer service, and interpersonal expertise preferred. * Must be a results-oriented professional with excellent verbal/written communication skills. * Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail, and meet given deadlines. * Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other company computer systems. * Able to analyze, understand data and information and leverage technology to perform duties and responsibilities. * Able to build and structure customer presentations and product proposals. * Proficient in using mobile devices (e.g., iPad, smartphone) and online communication techniques (email, posting, texting, etc.) in a professional manner. * Be open to change; embrace innovative ideas to assist growth. * Team player; works collaboratively with others. * Able to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. * Able to maintain a valid and current driver's license. * Able to travel as needed. * Must be at least 21 years of age. The associate is often required to be in the market and may require exposure to inclement weather. Compensation & Benefits: * A competitive compensation package including a commission-based structure with a weekly draw paid against commissions biweekly.
