Full description of the position

The Sales and Account Associate (SAA) is an entry to middle level position supporting account management and sales functions for the Cooperative. The position reports to a strategic account executive (SAE) and will take daily direction from the team of SAEs as well as other representatives of the account management, clinical, and sales teams. The SAA must understand many of the functions of the Cooperative and build internal relationships to support the Cooperative goals of member satisfaction, growth, and retention. This position has limited travel. A qualified candidate will have: * Proven experience in account management/administrative operations/insurance preferred or other relevant experience/training. * General understanding of a pharmacy benefit, pharmacy benefits manager, employer self-funding, and employee benefits. * Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills. Responsibilities: * Collaborate with various Cooperative and PBM staff to support existing Cooperative member relationships, and future sales opportunities. * Operate as the point of contact for various activities and responsibilities as assigned by SAEs. * Provide stellar member service, build, and maintain strong, long-lasting member and other agent/broker/consultant relationships. Ensure the timely and successful delivery of daily activities to support member needs and objectives. * Coordinate meetings with SAEs, Cooperative Staff, PBM staff, members, and potential members - primarily made up of employers, unions, health plans, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators, including broker/agent stakeholders. * Work with SAE to identify opportunities to help members manage their pharmacy benefit plans. * Maintain benefit design documentation - document plan change requests and confirm changes are complete and accurate. * Work with SAE to compile member status briefs and reporting on current member performance and recommendations. * Generate financial and clinical reports including annual/quarterly pharmacy performance reports. * Work with team to obtain answers to questions regarding contracts, explanation of coverage, contribution schedules, and member enrollment issues. * Generate reporting from CRM system and PBM claims system to support internal projects, member needs, and potential opportunities. * Enter and track cases into PBM partner account management system. * Assist SAEs with coordinating and compiling information, reports, and data to assist with RFPs. * Assist in ensuring a favorable PBM experience by helping to identify, resolve, and prevent issues encountered by member-groups with the coalition's PBM provider. * Communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly projects, initiatives to SAEs and other internal team members/staff. * Coordinate and potentially attend members meetings, benefit fairs and enrollment meetings. * Coordinate the new sales implementation process between the new members, PBM, broker/agent/consultants/TPAs and Cooperative.
