                Full description of the position
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Director of Business Development in Denver, CO Responsibilities of the Director of Business Development include: 1. Relationship Building : * * Develop and maintain strong relationships with key government stakeholders, including decision-makers, influencers, and procurement officials. * Act as the primary liaison between the company and government clients, ensuring clear and effective communication. 2. Capture Management : * * Lead the capture management process for government contracts, including the identification of opportunities, strategy development, and proposal management. * Oversee the creation and submission of high-quality, compliant proposals in response to RFPs, RFIs, and other government solicitations. 3. B2B2G Strategy Execution : * * Develop and execute comprehensive B2B2G strategies to enhance our market position and drive growth in the government sector. * Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to align efforts and ensure a cohesive approach to government business development. 4. Market Intelligence and Insights : * * Provide the product team with critical insights into government user needs, preferences, and pain points. * Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decision-making and product development. 5. Compliance and Risk Management : * * Ensure all proposals and contracts comply with government regulations and standards. * Identify and mitigate risks associated with government contracts and relationships. 6. Performance Monitoring and Reporting : * * Track and report on the performance of capture management activities, including win rates, revenue generated, and key performance indicators (KPIs). * Provide regular updates to senior leadership on the status of key opportunities and initiatives. Qualifications for the Director of Business Development include: * Clearance: TS/SCI * Education : Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Administration, or a related field. Engineering degree preferred. * Experience : * 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or capture management, with a focus on government contracts. * Proven track record of successfully securing government contracts and managing complex proposal processes. * Technical Skills : * Strong understanding of government procurement processes and regulations. * Proficiency in using CRM systems, proposal management tools, and other relevant software. * Soft Skills : * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels. * Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Certifications : Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, APMP) are a plus. Compensation for the Director of Business Development include: * Salary : * Base 160,000-180,000 Depending on Experience and Education Level * OTE 300K+ dependent on meeting targets and quotas * Comprehensive Benefits: 100% covered Medical, 401K, Unlimited PTO, Sick Leave as required by law, and Holidays This job opens for applications on 4/29/25.
