Job Overview We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Counter Help/Yard Help to join our team at the Water Rite/Standard Plumbing Store. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth operation at the counter. The ideal candidate will be friendly, proactive, and able to communicate effectively with customers and team members. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment for our customers while assisting them with their needs. Responsibilities * Greet customers warmly as they arrive at the counter. * Assist customers with inquiries, providing information about products and services. * Process transactions accurately and efficiently. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area. * Collaborate with team members to ensure customer satisfaction. * Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy. * Promote sales by understanding customer needs and recommending appropriate products. * Keep track of inventory levels and assist in restocking as necessary. Skills * Strong customer service skills with a focus on collaboration and teamwork. * Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus. * Familiarity with retail math to assist in sales transactions. * Experience in retail sales is preferred but not required. * Excellent problem-solving abilities to address customer inquiries and issues. * A proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to new situations. * Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers and colleagues alike. * Able to lift 50 lbs.
