Full description of the position

The Parts Counter Specialist is extremely knowledgeable about automotive parts and accessories and can accurately answer questions and satisfy customer requirements in person or on the phone. He/she locates automotive parts within the current inventory or from other sources (such as the internet, vendors, other dealerships, etc.) and arranges for delivery and installation. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and previous experience with automotive parts and accessories (preferably Acura or Honda). Candidates must have a pleasant and courteous personality, strong customer service and organizational skills, strong phone and computer skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities: * Discusses the use and features of various parts. * Fills customer orders from stock. * Prepares sales slips or sales contracts. * Advises customer on substitution or modification of part when replacement is not available. * Examines returned part to determine if defective, and exchanges part or refunds money. * Marks and stores parts in the stockroom according to the prearranged system. * Receives and fills internet orders for parts. * Takes inventory of stock. * Completes any reports or logs * Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications: * Must be at least 18 years old * High school diploma or GED required * Previous experience preferred * Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record * Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed * Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to * Maintain composure under stress * Highly professional and dependable * Safety and customer service oriented Benefits: * Weekly pay * Paid Time Off (PTO) * Medical Insurance * Dental Insurance * Vision Insurance * Life/AD&D Insurance * Short-term Disability Insurance * Long-term Disability Insurance (Company Paid) * 401(k) with Company Match * Pet Insurance
