Job Summary: The inside sales consultant is responsible for being the first point of contact for all new customers, whether via online appointment format or showroom traffic. They work with customers by effectively demonstrating products and services while displaying excellent customer service and professionalism both in the showroom and over the phone. Schedule and Availability: * Weekdays during normal business hours from 8am to 5pm * Some overtime as required and approved by management * Some after-hours events and as required by management Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Display and/or demonstrate product in Showrooms and/or consumer home shows, using samples or catalogs, emphasizing features and benefits of Pella products * Answer and accurately direct customer calls for both internal and external customers by asking leading questions and pre-qualifying * Set proper customer expectations regarding the Retail Replacement process * Qualify call-in customers by obtaining detailed information to set sales appointments for Outside Sales Consultants * Complete opportunity recovery phone calls to dead opportunities to generate sales * Work with Outside Sales Consultants to maintain accurate records and workflow in Salesforce * Gain experience with field measurement and installation techniques, practices, and policies * When possible, ride along with sales consultants on appointments and become familiar with the in-home sales process including PQM pricing, use of financing options, use of POT process, and closing techniques * Performs all other duties as necessary or assigned Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills * Knowledge of construction industry * Ability to multitask, managing multiple calendars and applications at any given time Education and Experience: * Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University; or 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Mathematical and Reasoning Skills: * Ability to accurately manage and schedule appointments as requests come in * Ability to read a tape measure accurately and understand fractions Computer Skills: * Must be proficient with Microsoft suite * Ability to learn and utilize proprietary Pella software programs and applications and other business critical applications Communication Skills: * Ability to answer phone calls and website inquiries and accurately respond to customer needs in a timely manner * Ability to verbally present information and respond to questions from customers, managers, and the general public * Comfortable interacting with architects/designers, builders/contractors, and homeowners Physical Requirements: * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, type or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear * The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, or crouch * Must be able to sit for long periods of time Work Environment: * Work is primarily conducted onsite * The noise level for this position is usually moderate * Work is performed in a communal, open office space EOE Statement Pella of Oklahoma provides a working environment free of discrimination and harassment.
