Sales Agronomist Locat*ion:* Evansville, WI Hours: Varies based on time of the year. A unique skillset of strong agronomic knowledge coupled with effective communication is needed for success in this career path. Essential Functions*and Responsibilities: * Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing grower base. Along with expanding and creating a new customer base. Showing growth year over year. * Promote and sell agricultural products, including seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and equipment, to growers. * Educate clients on the benefits and proper use of products and services. * Assess fields and provide agronomic advice tailored to their specific needs, such as soil testing, crop rotation, and pest management strategies. * Utilize Agvance software to keep accurate records of all grower information including plans, bookings, blends, crop maps, etc. * Act as a trusted advisor, providing agronomic expertise and recommendations to address grower challenges. * Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors' offerings. * Provide feedback to the company on market demands and emerging opportunities. * Set and achieve sales targets and objectives while managing a client portfolio. * Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies as needed to meet or exceed targets. * Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales, and agronomic recommendations. * Prepare regular reports on sales activities and market trends. * Other duties as assigned. Requirements: * Willingness to travel to grower farms and agricultural events. * Agronomic principles, crop production, soil science, and pest management. * Sales and negotiation skills. * Technical knowledge of agricultural products and equipment. * Bachelor's degree in agronomy, agriculture, or a related field (advanced degrees may be preferred). * Strong Agricultural background * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. * Willingness to work long hours, ability to lift 50lbs, climb ladders, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. * Self-motivated * Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
