We are seeking two positive, motivated, customer-service driven inside sales associates for a well-established, design-based tile & flooring company. The ideal candidate would possess solid interpersonal/communication skills, maturity, reliability, and the ability to problem solve and promote a cohesive, professional work environment while working with clients, vendors, installers, and the rest of the AFD team. The position would start as a 'sales assistant' to ensure proper training (provided by employer, vendor reps, current staff, and online resources) and education in the flooring business. Once trained and working independently to make sales, commission is added to hourly base pay. Requirements and responsibilities include: * Minimum one year previous sales experience, construction or design background preferred. If no previous experience, please qualify yourself otherwise. * Build and maintain strong client relationships (homeowners, designers, builders/GCs, property managers/HOAs, realtors, etc .. ) * Email and computer competence required * On-site/in-home estimation, bidding/building proposals, product knowledge/design appointments, and management of sales/scheduling installs * Listening to customer's needs, support them in making good choices for their buying occasion and lifestyle design * Taking an interactive and proactive role in the business, teamwork is an ingredient of our success * Strong communication skills * Merchandising, displays and showroom upkeep * Client support and prompt follow through * Greet customer walk-ins and schedule/meet for appointments - in-home and at the showroom for design and taking measurements * Answering Phones, office and showroom monitoring * Solid product knowledge in all areas of flooring (via training, reading, and on the job) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Flexible schedule * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Shift: * 8 hour shift * Day shift Work Location: In person
