SUMMARY: This self-motivated professional develops, implements, and evaluates sales strategies, sets goals and budgets designed to retain & grow existing client volumes, attract new business opportunities, and maximize revenues and profits. In addition, this person leads, develops, and coaches a large national sales force that leverage products and brands through traditional manufacturers' selling channels. Another priority is creating new marketing channels utilizing social media, online sales, and other strategic methods. Assumes a leadership role in market intelligence acquisition, consistently aware of and actively monitoring the latest developments and trends within the greater HVAC industry. As an integral member of the Strategic Management Team, developing strong working relationships with Engineering, Purchasing, Operations, and Accounting is paramount to achieving expected personal and corporate success. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Develops and maintains relationships with the national sales force of Territory Sales Managers and independent agents (agencies), cooperative buying groups, OEMs, customers, contractors, and homeowners to ensure market growth and promote all brands and products. * Designs, implements, and maintains dynamic sales strategies in response to market demands to achieve monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-term revenue and gross profit margin targets. * Serves as a member of the Senior Management Team, consistently demonstrating and promoting commitment to a culture of continuous improvement. * Integrates and harmonizes product sales goals with those of the Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, and Finance departments. Demonstrates a partnership mindset to build, value, and leverage the power of solid relationships with key internal business partners to advance the strategic corporate mission. * Embracing a growth mindset, develops and implements new Marketing strategies and techniques through social media, online sales, and other sources to tap into new channels, niche markets, new OEMs, and non-conventional target markets. * Manages and facilitates sales & product knowledge training sessions for corporate Territory Managers, Independent Agents (agencies), Cooperative Buying Groups, OEMs, Contractors, Distributors, and all other customers as deemed appropriate & productive. * Proactively seeks to improve product knowledge by interacting with internal and external subject matter experts. * Conducts ongoing assessments of industry and the competitive landscape, identifying and quickly reacting to competitors' product advancements, pricing changes, promotions, marketing initiatives, and any other pressures affecting market share. Communicates this market intelligence promptly to the Strategic Management team. * Develops and maintains customer relationships through personal visits and all other means of contact. Active, hands-on involvement in negotiations and closing of business opportunities. * Actively supports relevant Industry Associations by fostering relationships with all levels of the Associations to increase visibility & lobby for positive industry change. * Recommending and facilitating participation in relevant industry Trade Shows. * Resolves customer complaints in a professional and timely manner following Company Policy. * Prepares and distributes all required reports on time. Recommends & designs new reports likely to expedite information and grow volume. * Excellent skills in CRM, Social Media promotion, and the Microsoft Office package. * Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Active listening skills. * Highly motivated and able to efficiently function in a self-directed work environment. * Demonstrated history of fulfilling commitments, including timely responses to customer and staff inquiries, emails, and telephone calls. * Strong character, unquestionable integrity, and a sense of fairness. * Fearless approach in pursuing new business - strong closing skills. * Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple priorities efficiently in response to continuously changing internal and external market demands. * Proven ability to effectively make presentations, lead discussions, and negotiate contracts. * Sales Growth and Profit-motivated. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements below depict the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. English is the primary operating language, so written and verbal proficiency is essential to success. * Ideally, a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; however, candidates with 10+ years of aggressively growing sales & relevant experience will be considered. * Minimum 8 years outside business-to-business sales with a proven track record of success * Ideally, HVAC industry experience; however, strong candidates with an industrial product sales background will be considered. * Proven experience and success directing & motivating a large sales force, creating and managing budgets, tracking established metrics, and meeting defined performance goals. * Proven promotional results, strong knowledge of social media marketing. * Adequate and dependable transportation for daily travel to and from the customer site. Occasionally required to transport company product samples. Travel * Ability and willingness to travel extensively (primarily within the USA).
