Essential Functions: * Partners with Sales and Distribution Management (SDM) leadership to define and execute the strategic roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Tracks progress on key initiatives and holds team accountable for milestones * Serves as the SDM representative on projects led by other departments, working closely with departmental and cross-functional leaders to coordinate the execution and implementation of various sales-related projects * Establishes clear goals, metrics, and KPIs to measure and report on effectiveness and make data-driven adjustments as needed * Proactively utilizes business and technical expertise to determine solutions to business needs and requirements * Designs, implements, and optimizes internal processes, best practices, and workflows to improve efficiency and productivity * Establishes department level best practices, ensuring department consistency and appropriate communication of changes * Oversees and manages strategic initiatives and special projects across the SDM organization, ensuring they are completed on time and with the desired outcomes * Collaborates with Underwriting, the Field, and MarCom to identify and document operational risks and areas for improvement * Provides SDM communications strategy and execution support for SDM and Field Sales initiatives and projects, working with MarCom for added communications guidance and support as needed * Oversees the planning and execution of SDM team meetings and activities, including partnering with appropriate parties to develop internal meetings and conferences, and overseeing the development of meeting content and agendas * Engages closely with appropriate parties to ensure seamless communication and business continuity for internal meetings and conferences * Works closely with SDM leaders, National Field Leaders, and Regional Vice Presidents to develop a holistic sales training strategy for the Field, SDM, and UW that aligns with company profitable growth goals and brand values * Conducts thorough assessments to identify training goals and needs across the Field, UW and SDM * Ensures all training initiatives are aligned with the company's growth and strategic objectives and brand positioning * Establishes clear goals, metrics, and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of training programs and make data-driven adjustments as needed * Provides guidance and supports the Sales Training team in the development and facilitation of training programs * Collaborates with Learning & Development (L&D) to ensure claims training methods align with L&D standards and best practices and align with EMC's training philosophy * Oversees SDM budget process, working closely with SDM leaders to ensure achievement of budget deadlines and deliverables, providing quarterly updates and routine awareness of YTD budget outcomes * Maintains and enforces the expectations, standards, and best practices for budget and vendor management plans established by EMC and within SDM * Ensures overall support of SDM and Field administrative needs, including performing business continuity reviews * Regularly reviews, identifies trends, and develops and presents recommendations based on findings for expense, budget and office management * Supports leaders and corporate Vendor Management for vendor contract management and negotiations and provides regular updates to key stakeholders * Oversees key distribution partner (KDP) visits to Corporate Office for business meetings with senior executives, in collaboration with Executive Coordinators and the internal Events team * Manages annual CIAB event scheduling, coordinating and logistics * Supports the Sales Enablement and marketing strategy teams, and the Marketing Events Assistant Manager with targeted external Agent and Field events and conferences * Provides relevant agency data and background information to support EMC executive attendees at agent events and conferences * Collaborates with team members to establish performance goals and monitors status, conducts reviews, and provides coaching * Develops team expertise and assists with succession planning, including identifying talent and implementing development plans for critical positions * Supports diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, including supporting new ideas and providing guidance on potential changes * Fosters an environment of collaboration within the department and with other departments and profit centers * Manages budgeted resources by anticipating expenditures, accurately forecasting resource needs/costs and properly accounting for expenses to meet requirements and achieve fiscal responsibility * Builds One EMC team culture in alignment with EMC values to drive team engagement and results Education & Experience: The education and experience below are required for the job unless labelled as preferred: * Bachelor's degree preferably in finance, marketing, or business or equivalent relevant experience * Ten years of experience in property and casualty insurance project management and training or related experience * Prior experience in property and casualty insurance sales, marketing, or communications may be used to meet some of the experience requirement * Prior people leadership experience preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The knowledge, skills and abilities below are required for the job unless labelled as preferred: * Excellent ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form, with all levels of leadership * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects * Excellent knowledge of project management * Strong knowledge of property and casualty sales, underwriting and field operations experience * Strong ability to explore new and different processes, services, technologies, and partnerships to enhance EMC's business * Excellent understanding of the sales and distribution management function * Strong leadership and management skills with an ability to drive change * Strong attention to detail, multi-tasking, organizational and project management skills * Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) Please note: The hiring salary range for this position will vary based on geographic location, falling within $109,603 - $157,391 or $121,061 - $173,534 range. A hiring range represents a subset of the full salary range.
