Position Summary: Sales Associates are the heart of our dispensary's customer experience. As the first point of contact for many of our guests, Sales Associates provide friendly, personalized service and expert guidance to individuals purchasing cannabis for recreational use. They use their product knowledge and people skills to help customers find the right products for their needs, all while maintaining strict compliance with local and state regulations. Sales Associates also support the overall operations of the retail space, keeping the environment clean, organized, and well-stocked to create a welcoming and professional atmosphere. Key Responsibilities: * Customer Service: Greet and welcome customers, creating a warm and engaging shopping experience. * Product Guidance: Assist customers in selecting cannabis products based on their preferences, desired effects, and consumption methods. * Education: Share accurate, up-to-date information about product types, strains, dosage, and usage best practices. * Transaction Processing: Efficiently and accurately complete sales using the POS system, handling both cash and electronic payments. * Stocking & Merchandising: Maintain product displays, restock shelves, and ensure inventory is organized and accessible. * Cleanliness & Presentation: Keep the retail space clean, organized, and visually appealing throughout the day. * Compliance & Verification: Verify valid identification to ensure customers meet legal age requirements and adhere to all security and confidentiality protocols. * Policy Adherence: Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, compliance, and customer privacy. * Industry Awareness: Stay informed about cannabis products, trends, and evolving state/local regulations. * Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to meet sales goals, support store initiatives, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. * Other Duties as Assigned: Job responsibilities may be added, removed, or modified at any time based on the evolving needs of the company and direction of management. Qualifications: * Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment (2 years), preferably in the cannabis industry. * Knowledge of cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods is preferred. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. * Familiarity with state and local cannabis regulations. Requirements: * Must be at least 21 years of age. * High school diploma or equivalent. * Compliance with all state and local regulations regarding cannabis sales. * Availability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, and weekends.
