Job Description: The Sales Representative at BFW focuses on generating sales via walk-in, on- line and established customers that will meet/exceed overall revenue and profit goals for Business Furniture Warehouse. BFW is focused on the furniture needs of start-ups, small and medium size businesses of 100 or less employees. Customer interactions could be with local business owners, other company decision makers or walk-in home office customers. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities * Greets walk-in customers; assesses customer needs, presents/demonstrates products and conveys product information; provides optimal solutions along with possible options for customers; conducts sales transactions. * Enters orders in system, prints receipt for customer and sends delivery ticket to operations via system. Works with sales services on custom orders and products not in stock. * Processes credit card purchases ensuring appropriate procedures are followed during transactions. * May visit customer business sites or residential offices to assess spaces for furniture purchases; brings in and collaborates with designers for small-based customer projects. * Follows up with customers to assess satisfaction after furniture delivery / office installations. Assists with order / delivery issues, coordinating resolutions with Storey Kenworthy or Workspace furniture functions as needed. * Responds to customer phone calls and email inquiries, providing information and assistance. Follows-up with customers as needed. * Assists in maintaining the overall appearance of the show floor. Ensures show floor is consistently full after furniture pieces from floor have been sold or moved. Provides input to creating a show floor that exemplifies current trends in office spaces that will be attractive to customers. * Attends regular meetings with sales team to review and discuss progress against goals along with issues and resolutions. * All work activities will be in accordance with our company core values. * Demonstrates our vision statement when working externally and internally with clients and team members. * Participates in sales and product training. * Provides input to Sales Supervisor on items to stock. * Provides back up to the operations team for order filling and occasional assistance for customer loading. * May visit with manufacturing representatives. * Other duties as assigned. Educational / Experience Requirements Associates degree in business or related field with a minimum of one year retail sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience; experience working with office products / furniture preferred.
