                Full description of the position
The Business Development Specialist plays a key role in driving the company's growth and long-term success. This role focuses on building strategic partnerships, strengthening existing client relationships, and identifying new business opportunities through market research and trend analysis. By serving as a connector between the company and its potential clients or partners, the Business Development Specialist helps position the company for continued success in a competitive market. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Conducts market research, sales forecasting, and strategic planning to identify new markets, customer needs, and revenue opportunities. * Executes business development strategies to drive incremental revenue, meet annual sales goals, and expand small to midsize house accounts--primarily within Florida. * Builds and maintains strong client relationships through frequent in-person meetings, tailored outreach, and consistent follow-up. * Promotes value-added services such as CE/CLE credit webinars to clients and prospects. * Plans, coordinates, and attends industry association events, golf tournaments, conferences, and networking functions to increase brand visibility and generate leads. * Executes outbound campaigns (calls, emails, meetings, etc.) to uncover client needs and present relevant solutions. * Maintains accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and action plans using the CRM system. * Collaborates cross-functionally with internal teams and works closely with the Key Accounts Manager and Director of Business Development to align strategies and ensure a seamless client experience. * Travels frequently (75%+), both in-state and out-of-state, to support business development initiatives. * Promotes the company's image professionally and acts as the brand ambassador for the company EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, Finance, or a related field required preferred * Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, marketing, insurance, engineering, construction, restoration, real estate, property management, or a related industry. * Experience working with an engineering firm preferred. * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms; experience with Salesforce preferred. * Background in technology-based office operations and administrative support is a plus.
