The Current Landscape: The Business Development Director plays a pivotal role in expanding our client base and driving revenue growth. They lead the business development efforts, foster relationships with potential centers of influence, and create strategies to increase market presence. As part of the Leadership Team, the Business Development Director anticipates the needs of the firm, strategically plans for its growth, recommends necessary changes, leverages strategic relationships with centers of influence, and takes independent action within areas of authority. The Business Development Director understands the EOS philosophy, is an excellent leader and coach for members of the department, and helps the firm make data-driven decisions within that structure. Leadership Team Member: * Participates in the strategic planning and business development management of the office to include understanding the financial health and growth of the office. Makes the strategic connection between the vision and what needs to be done to support and achieve the vision. * Leads change management strategy with a continual focus on creating efficiencies and increasing revenue. * Creates, monitors, and reports on KPIs. Oversight for Business Development: * Develops KPIs for business development and cascades KPIs to team goals. * Responsible for the strategic vision of business development, including staffing, operations, and infrastructure. * Works in partnership with the leadership team to strategically plan for development by recommending changes in staffing, equipment, training, and support. * Trains team members (or delegates training) in all aspects of their responsibilities. * Has oversight for performance management and ensures annual performance review practices are followed. Also recommends salary increases and promotions to the leadership team. * Holds the team accountable and establishes procedures to document performance problems. If necessary, terminate staff with less than acceptable performance. * Champions the standardization of processes and ensures they are followed by all. Policies & Procedures: * Acts as the communication and change management liaison. Reviews all communication and ensures that team members and advisors are informed on a timely basis of any procedure change. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree, preferably in business and/or marketing. MBA desired. * Five or more years of experience in a management position, including program development. * Track record of success in previous sales and marketing roles. * Proven record of managing to KPIs and achieving results. * Proven ability to lead and manage people while building effective teams. * Demonstrated leadership to motivate and hold others accountable. * Proficient at personally handling sales conversations when appropriate. * Ability to take independent action to make sound decisions. * Solid interpersonal and command skills. * Ability to influence others even without authority. * Experience in strategic agility and managing vision & purpose. * Ability to manage change and purpose. * Ability to deal with ambiguity. * Demonstrated ability to lead business development. * Proven ability to plan strategically for the long and short-term Job Type: Full-time Pay: $120,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Flexible schedule * Health insurance * Health savings account * Life insurance * Paid time off * Professional development assistance * Vision insurance Schedule: * Day shift * Monday to Friday Work Location: Hybrid remote in Middleton, WI 53562
