Description: Outside Sales Job Description: We are American Metals Supply! A thriving employee-owned, leading wholesale distributor of sheet and coil steel, prefabricated duct & fittings, and a complete line of HVACR products. We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales candidate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients, and a strong understanding of our products and services. You will be responsible for driving new business, managing existing business, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Our commitment to excellence and innovation drives our success. We are looking for a candidate located in the Tusla, OK area. Outside Sales Responsibilities: * The main area of focus will be Tulsa and eastern Oklahoma, with occasional time spent in OKC. * Utilize technical aptitude to effectively sell HVAC products and provide exceptional customer service * Manage accounts of various sizes, staying up-to-date on customer needs and preferences * Ensure the quality and accuracy of sales presentations * Represent the company with the highest standards of professionalism * Travel extensively throughout the assigned territory, identifying sales opportunities and soliciting potential customers * Stay knowledgeable about the existing product line as well as newly launched products * Communicate any unexpected changes in product demand to the purchasing department * Educate customers on technology, product features, and benefits to drive sales and enhance customer satisfaction * Collaborate with the credit manager regarding the status of orders on credit hold * Attend and actively participate in internal meetings, vendor training sessions, and trade shows Requirements: Outside Sales Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, and a technical discipline (preferred) * Previous sales experience * Strong creative problem-solving abilities * Effective communication and interaction with individuals at various levels (warehouse employees, customers, suppliers, management) * Highly motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment * Proficient in using computers * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Uphold high integrity and professionalism * Experience in the building construction industry is preferred * Experience with Epicor Eclipse/Solar (preferred) * HVAC experience (preferred, but not required) Outside Sales Benefits: * Enjoy a 6% match on your 401k contributions and participate in our Employee-Owned Stock Program, fostering a sense of ownership and long-term financial growth * Take advantage of our competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage * Receive paid time off, starting with two weeks in your first year, three weeks starting in year two, four weeks starting in year five and five weeks starting in year ten * Competitive base and commission pay structure PM23
