Compliance Solutions, the nation's largest privately held provider of E-Learning, Virtual Education, and Instructor-Led Classes for Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) training is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Development Supervisor to lead and empower our Sales Development Representative (SDR) team. This crucial role will be responsible for identifying, creating and optimizing inbound lead management processes, driving lead conversion, and contributing significantly to our overall sales growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of sales development best practices, proven experience with CRM and sales development tools, and exceptional leadership, analytical and communication skills. You will work closely with the Marketing Department, reporting directly to Leadership, providing valuable insights into the effectiveness of our Sales and SDR Team efforts. Responsibilities: * Team Leadership and Development: * Directly supervise and work alongside a team of Sales Development Representatives and Account Executives providing guidance, coaching, and motivation to achieve and exceed targets. * Foster a positive and collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement and shared success. * Monitor individual and team performance, providing regular feedback and identifying areas for development. * Hire, onboard, and train new SDR staff, ensuring they have the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to succeed. * Manage team schedules, assignments, and performance expectations. * Inbound Lead Management: * Configure, monitor, and efficiently distribute inbound leads originating from various sources, including email inquiries, website form submissions, direct customer contact, inbound phone calls, and internal referrals. * Ensure timely and accurate routing of leads to the appropriate Sales Representatives. * Develop and maintain clear processes and workflows for lead qualification and distribution. * Performance Tracking and Analysis: * Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to lead conversion rates for individual SDRs, and various lead generation channels. * Generate regular reports for Leadership on the effectiveness of the Sales team and SDR staff, highlighting successes, trends, and areas for improvement. * Utilize data to identify bottlenecks in the lead flow and recommend solutions. * Conversion and Response Rate Optimization: * Collaborate closely with SDRs and the Marketing Department to develop and implement strategies aimed at improving lead conversion and response rates. * Analyze the effectiveness of different outreach methods and messaging, providing data-driven recommendations for optimization. * Contribute to the development of effective lead nurturing campaigns. * CRM and Sales Development Tool Proficiency: * Leverage CRM systems (preferably NetSuite CRM) to manage leads, track activities, and generate reports. * Identify and utilize other sales development software and tools (e.g., sales engagement platforms, lead enrichment tools) to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. * Stay up-to-date on the latest CRM and sales development technologies and best practices. * Reporting and Communication: * Prepare and present clear and concise reports to Leadership on Sales and SDR Teams performance, key metrics, and strategic initiatives. * Communicate effectively with Account Executives, SDRs, Marketing and Leadership to ensure alignment and shared understanding of goals and performance. Minimum Qualifications: * Supervisory and Team Leadership Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years recent and applicable experience directly supervising and working with a Sales Development Representative (SDR) teams or a similar inside sales teams. This includes demonstrable experience in coaching, mentoring, and driving performance within a sales-focused environment. * CRM Proficiency (NetSuite CRM Preferred): Proven and recent experience 2 years utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. Strong preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience configuring, managing, and reporting within NetSuite CRM. This includes understanding lead management modules, reporting capabilities, and workflow automation. * Sales Development Software and Tools Expertise: Demonstrated experience utilizing a variety of sales development software and tools beyond CRM. This includes familiarity with platforms designed for sales engagement (e.g., Outreach, SalesLoft), lead enrichment (e.g., ZoomInfo, Apollo.io), and sales intelligence. Candidates should be able to leverage these tools to improve team efficiency and effectiveness. * Data Analysis and Reporting Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and lead data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Experience in generating insightful reports and presenting data-driven recommendations to management is essential. Proficiency in using CRM reporting features and potentially other data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) is required. * Lead and Customer Acquisition Experience: A solid understanding of the lead generation and customer acquisition process. This includes experience managing inbound lead flow, understanding lead qualification methodologies, and collaborating with marketing on lead generation strategies. Experience in optimizing lead conversion rates is highly desirable. * Hiring, Management, and Training Experience: Proven experience in the full employee lifecycle for sales and/or SDR roles, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and providing ongoing training and development. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to build and motivate a successful sales development team.
