Job Description-Community Engagement Ambassador KINDLY NOTE-EVENING SHIFT PART TIME ONLY SCHEDULE: THU-FRI-SAT 7PM-1:30AM STREETPLUS is hiring qualified applicants to serve as Community Engagement Ambassadors in Downtown Worcester, MA. STREETPLUS is a national provider of clean, safe and friendly services to improvement districts across the United States through the deployment of "Ambassadors" who are responsible for completing tasks structured to enhance the experience of those who live, work, and visit downtowns. Community Engagement Ambassadors circulate throughout the public areas of Downtown Worcester on foot. They are knowledgeable of Downtown Worcester and able to provide information to those visiting Downtown Worcester. They also report environmental conditions that adversely affect the downtown, to include trash and graffiti. If you have an outgoing personality, good communication skills (verbal and written), experience with hospitality or customer service (preferred), enjoy helping others and enjoy working outdoors with minimal supervision apply today to join our team in Downtown Worcester, MA. JOB REQUIREMENTS * Work outdoors and effectively carry out duties in extreme heat or cold conditions with variations in weather. * Sit, stand, and walk for extended period of time and walk several miles during a shift, usually eight hours. * See at near and far distances; corrective lenses acceptable * Comprehensively read, write, speak and understand the English language * Follow instructions and report important factual information * Speak clearly and communicate effectively * Exercise self-control when dealing with distraught, disturbed, disabled, irate, and intoxicated individuals. * Make sound decisions and use good judgment. * Handle stressful situations in a reasonable manner. * Remain alert and vigilant to detect and respond to situations, as necessary. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * At least 18 years of age * Possess valid state identification card * Valid state driver's license, if required to operate company vehicle * High school diploma or GED certificate * Record free of felony convictions and patterns of misdemeanors * Record free of domestic violence, theft, and drug related offenses Compensation and Benefits Starting hourly wage of $20.00 Interested applicants should respond to this recruitment advertisement.
