If so, Strategic Contract Resources (SCR) in Tulsa, OK, is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager - Major Projects to join our contract staffing team and play a pivotal role in our continued success. As our Business Development Manager for Major Projects, you will be the architect and executor of a strategic business development plan focused on expanding SCR's presence within the Petrochemical, LNG, and Refinery business lines for significant projects. You will be directly responsible for identifying, engaging, and securing new client partnerships with key contractors and end-users, directly impacting our revenue growth. Your Key Responsibilities: * Strategic New Business Acquisition: Proactively identify and cultivate new client leads within major projects, transforming initial contacts into valuable, long-term partnerships. * Executive-Level Relationship Building: Engage with Project Directors, Managers, and Operations leaders to forge strong client relationships, deeply understand their needs, and qualify strategic opportunities. * Industry Intelligence & Opportunity Scouting: Stay ahead of market trends, track upcoming major projects, and identify emerging opportunities within the Petrochemical, LNG, and Refinery sectors. * Strategic Contractor Engagement: Leverage our existing network of US-based contractors to gather valuable market intelligence and identify potential project opportunities. * Solution Architect & Client Advisor: Effectively translate client needs and expectations into tailored contract staffing solutions, clearly communicating these requirements to internal teams and advising clients on optimal approaches. * Client Development & Growth Strategies: Develop and implement targeted business development strategies and programs designed to attract and secure new major project clients. * Extensive Networking & Client Engagement: Proactively reach out to prospective clients through various channels, including strategic in-person meetings and presentations (travel is a key component of this role). * Internal Collaboration & Recruitment Alignment: Partner closely with our recruiting management team to ensure your new clients receive dedicated and effective recruiting support. * Professional Service Agreement Management: Facilitate the development and negotiation of professional service agreements between SCR and new clients. * Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate effectively with other field associates to ensure seamless execution once job order needs are identified and secured. * CRM Utilization & Reporting: Leverage our CRM system to meticulously track and manage current and prospective client interactions and opportunities. * Market Analysis & Strategy Implementation: Determine and implement effective marketing techniques tailored to the specific market, industry, and region. What You'll Need to Succeed: * A demonstrable track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets in a business development role. * Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a dynamic and outgoing personality and a natural ability to build strong, lasting relationships at all levels. * A solid understanding of various staffing models, including temporary, direct hire, and contract staffing solutions. * Proven resilience and the ability to thrive in a sales-focused environment, including strong cold-calling and lead generation skills. * A highly competitive drive with a strong desire to win and achieve ambitious goals. * The ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. * A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred, but relevant experience and a strong performance history will also be considered).
