Great Western Trailer (GWT) is immediately hiring Mobile Truck Technicians. As a Mobile Truck Technician, you will perform maintenance and repairs on semi-trailers, using a mobile service truck to visit customer locations for servicing, repair, and maintenance of trailers and semi- trailers. Install or Replace: * Add-on components like toolboxes, ramp kits, dunnage racks, and winches. * Show willingness to learn new skills and take on new tasks as needed. Quality Check and Reporting: * Prepare service reports and other necessary documentation. * Examine work for defects to ensure high-quality repairs. * Follow troubleshooting procedures to deliver quality work according to specifications. * Communicate concerns and assist others when needed. Safety First: * Follow safety standards, company policies, and regulations. * Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and equipment. * Required Qualifications: * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no recent DUIs). * A valid CDL license and DOT medical card. * Reliable transportation. * Own a personal set of hand tools. * Broad knowledge of semi-trailer equipment, tools, and systems. * Ability to use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and welding equipment. * Ability to work overtime as needed. * Preferred Qualifications: * Minimum of 7 years of experience in semi-trailer repairs. * ASE or other industry-recognized certifications (welding certification a plus). * Bilingual in Spanish a plus. * Physical Demands: * Frequent standing, walking, reaching, kneeling, crouching, and bending. * Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds. * Must operate equipment like forklifts, hand tools, welding equipment, and refrigerated trailers. * Specific vision abilities including close, distance, and color vision, with the ability to adjust focus. * Work Environment: * Exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, chemicals, fumes, and extreme temperatures. * Regular exposure to moderate to loud noise levels. * Risk of electrical shock. * Work may be performed in shops, yards, or on customer sites via mobile service trucks. * About Great Western Trailer (GWT): Great Western Trailer (GWT) is a leader in the semi-trailer rental market, providing sales, leasing, rental, and service solutions.
