Back in the Day Books, an independent bookstore in the heart of Downtown Dunedin, is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Part-Time Sales Associate to join our team. The Ideal candidate will have prior retail or customer service experience and/or a strong appreciation for books. This is a customer-facing role that requires attention to detail, excellent communications skills, and a welcoming attitude. Position Details: * Part-time role starting at 5-10 hours per week (training) * May increase to 15-25 hours per week based on store needs and performance * Must be available to work weekends and occasional evenings Responsibilities: * Greet customers, familiarize them with the layout of the store and our pricing system and assist them with book selections and purchases * Operate the point of sale and handle transactions accurately * Maintain a clean and organized store environment * Shelve, alphabetize, and restock inventory Qualifications: * Prior retail experience preferred * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently * A genuine appreciation for literature and reading To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter or a brief note about your interest in the position to [please apply online].
