Full description of the position

Our client, a leader in Traffic Control Services, is looking for a talented Director of Business Development to join their team. This remote position will be focused on expanding traffic control equipment sales and rentals within the Greater Pacific Northwest. As an integral part of the organization, this role will be key to driving product specifications, securing approvals, and promoting Intelligent Transportation Solutions (ITS) across multiple jurisdictions. Responsibilities: * Identify sales opportunities and advocate for product inclusion in government programs * Build relationships with ministries of transportation, municipalities, consulting engineers, and contractors * Contribute to strategic planning and use CRM tools for market insights * Participate in regulatory forums to influence industry standards and procurement specifications * Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop campaigns and technical demonstrations * Consult on product applications, integrations, and customizations * Travel within the region for in-person meetings, presentations, and stakeholder engagement Qualifications: * 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, government relations, or similar roles, ideally within construction and/or transportation industry * Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field * Strong sales and business development acumen, with the ability to understand and communicate product features and capabilities effectively * Established history of developing and growing a market * Committed to delivering an outstanding customer experience * Proven expertise in market analysis, government engagement, and regulatory awareness * Ability to travel within the Greater Pacific Northwest and other parts of the US and Canada as necessary If you are a driven and experienced professional looking for a rewarding new challenge, this is an excellent opportunity to make a tangible impact in a dynamic and thriving business.
