Outside Sales positions represent the company for the rental and sales of construction equipment to customers in surrounding A Tool Shed store locations. Outside Sales will need to have tenacity for forming relationships with new customers and the finesse to keep our loyal customers. For over 75 years A Tool Shed has been providing equipment to professionals as well as homeowners, and we a looking for a special rep to step outside the equipment yard and share what A Tool Shed has available. We now have 8 locations in Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, San Benito, and Monterey counties. Duties: * Solicits to rental customers and follows up on rental sales leads * Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment * Monitors competitive activity/products and timely communicates to management * Maintains all customer information for sales management * Knows and follows a defined sales process * Assists stores with the preparation and execution of customer reservations * Conducts new equipment field demonstrations * Monitors trends in customer's business activities and timely communicates to management Knowledge/Skills/Abilities you may rely on: * Strong project management, new business development and customer retention skills * Effective communication and negotiation skills * Solid computer skills * Knowledge of ground protection, construction or specialty industrial equipment preferred * Bilingual (Spanish) may be preferred in some locations * The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
