Who you Are: We are looking for a Market Development Associate for the Portland West area who is eager to grow in the wine and spirits industry. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and excels at building relationships. You'll support sales efforts through tastings, promotions, and customer engagement while working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Duties/Responsibilities: * Collaborate with sales executives to develop and implement strategic plans that support revenue targets across all sales channels. * Contribute to achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals by providing comprehensive support to both outside and direct sales. * Develop, manage, and maintain a robust pipeline of leads and opportunities, ensuring alignment with sales strategies across various channels. * Identify and pursue new business opportunities with current and potential customers, working closely with the sales team to expand market presence. * Educate customers and sales partners on our diverse portfolio of wine and spirits. * Foster and maintain strong relationships with both prospective and existing customers, serving as a key point of contact for sales support and customer education. * Conduct product demonstrations and tastings for customers, adhering to OLCC serving laws, and providing support during in-store promotions and offsite events. * Gather and analyze customer feedback and market data to help refine sales strategies, product offerings, and customer engagement tactics. * Assist in training new sales staff and provide ongoing support to ensure they are well-versed in product knowledge, sales techniques, and company protocols. * Stay informed about industry regulations (such as OLCC laws) and ensure all sales activities and promotional events are in compliance. * Coordinate the logistics of product deliveries for events, tastings, and customer orders, ensuring timely and accurate execution. * Work in events, including but not limited to event setup and takedown, managing booths, and end-of-day reconciliation. * Operate collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple tasks and responsibilities. * Assist with additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned, ensuring seamless execution across all sales channels. Required Skills/Abilities: * Experience as a Sales Development Representative or in a similar role, preferably in the wine and spirits industry. * Strong communication skills. * Ability to drive in a fast-paced, professional environment. * Exceptional verbal communication, active listening, and customer service skills. * Knowledge in the wine/spirits industry is a plus, but not necessary. * Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and the continual development of company brand knowledge. * Ensure professional and respectful communication standards are consistently met. Education, Experience and Certifications: * 1+ years experience of wine/spirits, sampling, and/or promotional work is preferred. * Must be 21 and over. * Must possess or be able to obtain state-specific permit/license to sell liquor. * Must possess a valid Driver License and reliable vehicle. Physical Requirements: * Ability to lift 50 pounds and carry it 100 feet repeatedly. Cascade Wine & Spirits is an equal opportunity employer.
