R*egional Sales Representative DC / Maryland / Virginia Territory Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Co. is a world leader in the manufacture of fire sprinklers and related system valves as well as a major distributor of a full line of fire sprinkler system components and fabricated piping solutions to the fire sprinkler industry since 1920. Summary The Regional Sales Representative maintains, promotes, and increases sales between the organization and the customers in an assigned territory by meeting and exceeding forecast and goals. Duties and Responsibilities * Communicates with customers within the assigned territory on a regular basis to develop rapport and a better understanding of their needs * Identifies, isolates, and pursues new customer acquisitions, and conducts cold-calls for potential leads * Prepares and reviews sales reports by identifying and evaluating problem areas and company progress * Creates and maintains a sales plan within corporate guidelines for the assigned territory that meets and exceeds a profit goal * Provides feedback to the Regional Sales Manager in the planning, forecasting, and management territory * Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments * Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations * Significant travel is required to visit current and potential clients as well as overnight travel * Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe conditions or practice to your supervisor * Performs other duties as directed Skills and Competencies * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to identify new and important professional working relationships and develop them over time * Outstanding customer service skills * Excellent time management ability * Strong advertising and sales promotion techniques * Ability to handle adversity and conflict with successful outcomes * Possesses strong commitment to team environment while working well with others * Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy * Works systematically and logically to resolve problems * Ability to develop and deliver presentations * Excellent business writing skills * Knowledge of technical details of the company product * Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft CRM Dynamics, and AS400 Software Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business and/or Related Field and/or * 3 + years of Outside Sales Experience and/or Engineering * Valid Driver's License * Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time * Benefits * Medical, Dental, Vision and FSA are available the 1st of the month following your start date * 401k with company match is available 1st of the month after 90 days of employment * Company-provided Life Insurance is provided for you 1st of the month after 90 days of employment * 2 weeks of vacation after 6 months of employment * 10 paid holidays - including your birthday!
