SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER MD/VA Reports to: VP of Sales & Operations Type: Full Time - Salary + Commission SUMMARY We're ADVANCE SCALE COMPANY, and we're seeking a Sales Account Manager to join our growing team in our North Jersey/ NY territory! If selected for this role, you would be joining a top-tier team that is responsible for the delivery of quality calibrations and service and material handling solutions, each and every day, for our diverse group of satisfied customers throughout the Mid- Atlantic Region and Northeast Corridor. Are you someone who: * finds purpose in helping others * truly enjoys supporting customers and making them feel important * cares about quality of the relationships built with existing and potential customers * is reliable and self-motivated because that's just the way you are, not because of rules or policies * is curious, with a desire to learn and grow * can work independently, but understands the importance of collaboration with others WHAT YOU'LL DO * Work hands-on to present and sell Light-, Medium-, and Heavy- Capacity products and services to current and potential customers * Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made * Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field or inside sales activity * Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned * Prepare presentations, proposals, and sales contracts * Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge * Establish and maintain current client and potential customer relationships * Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up * Identify and resolve customer concerns * Prepare weekly status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals * Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff * Coordinate with necessary department heads to complete quotes and close sales * Follow all ADVANCE employee policies and procedures and act as a brand ambassador for ADVANCE while in the field Hopefully, if you have read this far, you are the type of candidate we're looking for and starting to see what it would be like to work for Advance Scale Company! REQUIREMENTS * A minimum of 1-3 years outside/ field sales experience * Mechanical / Technical / Electrical understanding * Passion for meeting customers in the field and creating hands-on experiences * Effective utilization of time, energy and resources- including Salesforce * Proficient in Adobe, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel * Understanding of quality systems and practices (i.e. ISO 17025) * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions * Capable of daily out of town travel (throughout the territory) * Willingness to be part of a customer support team * Self-motivated and can work independently to achieve goals * Must have a valid driver's license and authorized to work in the U.S. WHAT WE OFFER We know that you have a lot of choices when it comes to employers, but ADVANCE is different.
