Job Title: Account Manager - Customer Success & Sales Location: North Branford, CT Type: Full-Time | Compensation includes base + performance incentives About Us: At American Protective Products (APP), we provide essential PPE, janitorial supplies, and lab consumables to customers in healthcare, research, and manufacturing. Our success is built on reliability, responsiveness, and long- term relationships--and we're looking for someone who can help us grow that legacy. About the Role: We're seeking a dynamic Account Manager who thrives in both customer service and sales. This is not a cold-calling position--it's about nurturing accounts, understanding our customers' evolving needs, solving problems quickly, and identifying opportunities for growth. You'll be responsible for managing day-to-day customer interactions (placing orders, providing updates, resolving issues) while also working proactively to expand accounts through product suggestions, cross-selling, and consultative support. Key Responsibilities: * Serve as the main point of contact for assigned customers * Enter and manage sales orders, provide shipment tracking, and resolve service issues * Build strong relationships and trust with key contacts through timely communication and problem-solving * Identify and act on opportunities to expand sales within existing accounts * Proactively suggest product solutions aligned with customer needs * Track performance, follow up on leads, and maintain accurate CRM notes * Collaborate internally with purchasing, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless fulfillment * Achieve sales targets and benefit from a performance-based incentive program Qualifications: * 2+ years in customer service, account management, or inside sales * Experience in distribution, healthcare, lab supply, or janitorial industries a plus * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Highly organized, tech-savvy, and able to juggle multiple accounts and priorities * Self-starter with a growth mindset and drive to exceed goals * Experience with order entry software (Sage, NetSuite, or similar) a plus What We Offer: * Competitive base salary + commission structure * Health benefits, 401(k), and paid time off * Supportive team culture with growth opportunities * Hands-on training and mentorship in a fast-growing company Job Type: Full-time Pay: $47,943.88 - $57,738.87 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Flexible schedule * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Schedule: * Monday to Friday Ability to Commute: * North Branford, CT 06471 (Required) Ability to Relocate: * North Branford, CT 06471: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
