Full description of the position

Outside Sales Account Manager Job Summary: As a Sales Account Manager you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by selling to clients, managing client relationships, overseeing the sales process, and acting as a point of contact for key accounts. Your responsibilities will include maintaining existing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This position requires you to customarily and regularly work more than half of your working time away from company 's place of business (Santa Fe Springs) selling and obtaining orders for company's products. Key Responsibilities: * Client Relationship Management: * Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients. * Understand client needs, preferences, and pain points. * Regularly communicate with clients to address inquiries, resolve issues, and provide exceptional service. * Meet with clients to ensure a positive working relationship that cultivates an environment for ongoing sales. Sales Process Oversight: * Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets. * Identify potential leads, qualify prospects, and convert them into customers. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Project Manager, R&D, and Customer Service) to ensure seamless sales processes. * Business Development: * Research and identify new business opportunities within the nutraceutical market. * Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and generate leads. * Present product offerings and negotiate contracts with potential clients. * Conduct promotional work away from the place of business. * Strategic Planning: * Create and implement strategic account plans to maximize sales and profitability. * Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform business strategies. * Forecast sales targets and track performance metrics. * Conduct promotional work that is performed in conjunction with employee's own outside sales and solicitations. * Customer Satisfaction: * Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing client concerns promptly. * Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any issues related to product quality, delivery, or service. * Continuously seeking feedback from clients to improve overall customer experience. * Field Sales Activities: * Conduct face-to-face meetings with clients at their locations to discuss product offerings. * Travel extensively to meet with clients and prospects. * Demonstrate products and services in person, providing detailed information and answering questions. * Develop and maintain a schedule of regular visits to key accounts to ensure ongoing engagement and satisfaction. * Participate in on-site events, presentations, trade shows, and training sessions. * In addition to these field sales activities, all of the above duties in the preceding sections should be performed away from company's place of business (Santa Fe Springs) or any home office more than half of the employee's working time, and employee agrees to immediately notify Human Resources and their Manager if that is not the case. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. * Proven experience in sales, account management, or business development. * 10+ years of knowledge of nutraceutical products, ingredients, and industry trends a plus. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. * Proficiency in CRM software (NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite. * Ability to travel throughout the United States for client sales meetings and industry events. * Must be organized and able to manage databases.
