Director of Retail Sales Nikco Sports is a nationwide leader in sales and distribution of licensed sports and entertainment memorabilia as well as distributing products to the grocery, drug, and hardware industry across the country. In our 35-year history (founded in 1990) we have seen tremendous growth and are looking to continue that growth and development in 2025 and beyond. We are looking for the right sales leader in our B2B retail sales department to assist in that process. In addition to our focus on business growth, we also believe in giving back highlighted by donating over $3 million to hundreds of charities over the years through the promotion of our promotional products. We own and reside in a beautiful professional office complex in Chesterfield, Missouri. Nikco Sports is looking for a high-performing, strategic, and service orientated Director of Retail Sales Manager with a proven track record in strategic leadership, training, motivating, and leading sales teams as well as helping each team member maximize their potential. This sales leader will be responsible for maximizing our inside sales team's potential, coaching and encouraging, product sourcing and list development and management. They will also be responsible for the business development of the Retail Sales Department, expanding our partnerships with retailers nationwide. Responsibilities * Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales teams and personal sales performance of each member across the Retail Sales department. This includes leading department meetings and huddles, as well as weekly one-on-one strategic coaching and development. * Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company's retail customer base and ensures its strong presence overall sales mediums. * Lead recruiting efforts, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of up to 10+ inside phone sales representatives. * Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs and personal objectives. * Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status. * Attending national trade shows for product sourcing including the Toy Show in New York City and the Sports Licensing Show in Las Vegas. * Working with our numerous product vendors to negotiate the best terms and pricing as well as keeping the team abreast of the latest products and trends in the industry, * Know historical sales figures, understand current objectives and sales goals, keep all sales team members aware of where they are in perspective to achieving and surpassing goals, both individually as well as a team. Requirements * Successful previous business experience as a strategic sales and business leader who can demonstrate consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and objectives. * Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of an organization. * Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close as well as effectively training. * We have plans for a new Retail Website. Ability to plan and execute digital and web objectives. * Strong business acumen and relevant industry expertise. * Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills. * Ability to clearly communicate SWOT analysis to CEO and Vice President while also providing reasonable solutions and ways to execute.
