Overview We are a family-first business seeking a skilled and detail oriented mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will diagnose and repair a variety of outdoor power equipment, including lawn mowers, tractors, and other small- engine machinery. Your expertise will be essential in helping our customers keep their equipment operating efficiently and safely. Responsibilities * Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues on a range of outdoor power equipment (e.g., lawn mowers, tractors, small engines) * Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, filter replacements, belt adjustments, and blade sharpening * Repair or replace damaged parts including belts, spark plugs, batteries, and carburetors * Conduct detailed inspections of equipment to identify potential problems and recommend timely repairs * Ensure all work performed meets safety standards and quality requirements * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment * Create and complete work orders * Type diligent notes in the work orders to maintain an accurate accounting of each job * Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding repair needs, costs, and timelines Basic Qualifications * 1+ years experience with small-engine or agricultural equipment repair (lawn mowers, tractors, etc.) * Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Strong communication and customer service skills * Ability to perform basic computer functions * High School diploma or GED * Valid driver's license Advanced Qualifications * Briggs & Stratton, Kawasaki, Kohler or Honda certified (preferred) * Experience working directly with quickbooks (preferred) * Fork lift license (preferred) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour Benefits: * Flexible schedule * Health insurance * Paid time off * Professional development assistance Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Rotating weekends Education: * High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: * Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: * Driver's License (Required) * Forklift Certification (Preferred) Work Location: In person
