Customer Service Representative/Inside Sales Instone Instone is a progressive, niche wholesale distributor of thin veneer masonry and related goods with a very strong partnership between our suppliers and customers. We are looking to hire a dynamic and committed Customer Sales Representative/Inside Salesperson to join our highly engaged team in our Alsip, IL location. Job Description As a Customer Service Representative/Inside Salesperson, you will be responsible for creating the ultimate customer experience, acting as a liaison between our customers, outside sales team and inerrnal departments. Overall Responsibilities and Function Answer phones Communicate professionally, clearly and effectively with customers in written and verbal form Enter and expedite orders received via phone, email, website and EDI Update and verify customer information for order accuracy Answer customer questions about products, pricing and availability Determine lead times to ensure timely arrival based on customer needs Generate and follow up on quotes, special projects and deliveries Process returns and credits Interact with other departments and sales representatives to resolve customer concerns regarding sales and service Answer technical questions regarding products and brands Work with all departments to continually improve relationships with customers Participate and assist with various department projects Perform other customer service and inside sales duties as directed Requirements and Skills Speak, read and write English Regular and reliable attendance Pleasant, patient and friendly attitude A self-starter, minimal monitoring required Strong Typing/Date Entry skills Strong phone skills Working knowledge of Sage 100 (or SAP) 3-5 Years Customer Service/Inside Sales Experience 3-5 Years Building Materials Industry Experience (or related field) High level of aptitude with Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge of Salesforce (preferred) This role requires a candidate that is excited to be part of a team focusing on executing change that positively impacts our customers. You must enjoy wearing multiple hats and be able to contribute to all areas of the business when required.
