Meadow Gold has immediate job openings for dependable CDL B Delivery Truck Drivers to operate a straight truck safely and efficiently and manually unload/deliver various Dairy products, to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Our drivers build relationships with each customer using their positive, friendly attitude and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations. OUR TRUCK DRIVERS*FOR THIS POSITION*CAN MAKE: * $30.00/hr SCHEDULE: Mon - Fri, 4:00AM - 2:00PM BENEFITS: * Competitive pay * All CDL B Delivery Truck Drivers have daily routes and are home nightly * Paid vacation and holidays * Career growth opportunities - we promote from within! * Comprehensive healthcare benefits * Service recognition and employee rewards * Uniforms provided * Work for dairy farming families * More benefits, too many to name JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules, regulations and policies adhering to all safety practices * Deliver pre-ordered or unscheduled (special orders) products to customers (schools, grocery stores, nursing homes, etc.) according to route schedule and customer delivery expectations (e.g., put deliveries inside coolers and walk-ins) in a safe and timely manner * Follow designated routes and schedules unless otherwise directed by supervisory personnel. Report delivery delays to management due to road conditions, accidents or breakdowns * Based on route design, load and unload product as required at designated stops (manually with hook, 2-wheel cart and/or pallet jack); may include stocking, rotating, and/or ordering of product (varies from route to route) * Provide merchandising support based on customer requirements and promote the addition and sales of new products if appropriate * Communicate effectively and maintain good relations with customers, resolve customer complaints, and report any problems to the driver supervisor or manager * Ensure and/or perform proper maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment used (tires, fuel, oil check, etc.) and maintain a clean vehicle * Ensure load is properly secured prior to travel and at each stop and make adjustments when needed * Complete all daily paperwork fully and correctly each day. Complete DOT and customer paperwork including delivery tickets, pre and post trip inspections, driver logs, trip records, and vehicle service reports * Submit all customer paperwork and deposits daily, including invoices, load orders, and handheld reports * Ensure sufficient route inventory levels to meet customer demands while adhering to account inventory control and company distribution procedures; document condition of freight before departure * Attend all driver workshops and training sessions * Use company supported applications or systems properly * Represent DFA positively and professionally at all times during interactions with customers or other individuals * The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. Other duties may be assigned as required Requirements: * 6 months related experience preferred * Valid Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL) with Air Brake and a clean driving record * 21+ years of age * Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background, and criminal checks) * Ability to read, write and communicate in English * Ability to push, pull, & lift to 55 lbs. * Flexibility - overtime as required, occasional weekends and holidays DFA is an Equal Opportunity Employer Compensation: $30.00 / hour
