Summary of Position The Customer Service Advocate is an entry level position that will serve as the secondary service contact for the Account Executive and act as support for the benefits department. The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for assisting with data entry and day-to-day servicing under the supervision of the Department Service Team Leader and Account Executive as assigned. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities The ability to meet deadlines, exhibit great attention to detail, and communicate in a positive manner is essential. Communicating professionally and clearly is required. A thorough understanding of software, systems, business procedures, and problem-solving is necessary for success. * Assist Account Executive with the annual renewal process, census preparation, open enrollment, and new business implementation. * Draft, construct, and review various reports for customer/prospect presentations including demographic and financial analysis as assigned accordingly. * Maintain effective information management between the Account Executive, Producer, and Carrier through all applicable means of communication. * Ensure all applicable data is kept accurate and files maintained in the Benefits Account Management System (Applied EPIC). * Assist and support the benefits team with open enrollment meetings and materials, including creating employee benefits guides and flyers. * Obtain full working knowledge of Policy coding, and Producer/Carrier Commission splits. * Maintain monthly expiration reports. * Create and deliver monthly customer communications as needed. * Other duties as assigned Employee Benefits Practice Leader Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Required computer skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and the ability to utilize an agency management database. * Ability to use scanning and printing programs along with creating and saving files in PDF, Word and Excel format. * 1-3 years of administrative experience required. Preferred Qualifications * 1+ years of Employee Benefits insurance experience. * 1+ years of Applied Epic experience.
