Position Details: * Job Title: Account Manager * Department: Pre-Production * Location: Rochester Tech Park, 2332 Innovation Way, Bldg 4, Rochester, NY 14624 Must have reliable transportation * Schedule: Full-time, A Shift, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday * Pay: $22 - $30 per hour. Final compensation is based on experience. * Job Summary: The Account Manager is responsible for being the primary and/or secondary customer contact and internal source of information for jobs in progress. * Reports To: Pre-Production Manager * Duties/Expectations: While duties may vary from day to day, below is a list of general duties you can expect in this role. * General Responsibilities: * Thoroughly read and understand customer Purchase order information. * Compare actual job samples or files with PO and estimate if quoted. Inform customers or sales contact of differences. * Translate customer requirements into established Mercury Job language and document job specifications in MIS system * Direct communication with customers * Keep work area neat and orderly * Must comply with all plant and departmental safety rules. * Adhere to company attendance standards. * Must be knowledgeable of company's quality system. * May deal with outside vendors, have to make purchases and may be responsible for creating PO's. * May create estimates and/or quotes. * All other duties as assigned by management related to the job title. What we are looking for: * Position Qualifications: * Work Experience: * A minimum of 2 years' of print industry customer service experience is required. * Exposure and introductory knowledge of common graphic art printing applications. * Knowledge/Skills: * Basic understanding of MAC & PC operating systems and applications pertaining to file preparation and desktop management. * Ability to facilitate communication between all parties involved with jobs in progress. * Detail oriented, organized, conscientious with professional telephone and electronic communication technique. * Must have clear understanding of a PDF workflow and basic understanding of MAC & PC operating systems and applications pertaining to file preparation. * Must have ability to work in a team environment as well as the drive to work independently and be self-motivated. * Education: High school diploma or GED required * Must be of legal working age and eligible to work in the U.S. * Work Environment/Physical Requirements: * Works indoors in a temperature-controlled office and may be exposed to loud sounds, hazardous chemicals, and equipment on the production floor. Must have the ability to bend, lift and carry up to 10 lbs; sit for extended periods; complete tasks; operate computers and/or machines (dexterity, bend, stretch, reach, climb, crouch, etc.); and communicate effectively. * Reasonable accommodation may be available upon request.
