Also, you will be essential in executing merchandising, stocking, and pricing. You will be great in our stores as a Retail Associate if you: * Have great communication skills and understand how to create an excellent pet parent service experience. * Love animals and people and like to sell. * Are open to learning new things * Love working in a team and appreciate the chance to collaborate * Feel comfortable with responsibilities like cash handling and store safety * Like a fast-paced, energetic work environment * Can maintain a clean and organized workspace Responsibilities: We are looking for a Retail Sales Associate to provide excellent customer service and meet sales quotas for our business. Candidates with strong communication skills who can make customers feel welcome in our store will stand out. You will help identify client needs, present and answer questions about our products and services and recommend solutions. A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues or complaints will make you successful in this role. Ultimately, you will ensure that customers leave our store satisfied and you will contribute to the store's profitability. * Greet and direct customers. * Answer all phone calls. Manage and coordinate customer booking & schedules of grooming appointments. * Check-in/check-out all grooming customers and complete all retail sales & transactions. * Listen to and offer customers educated suggestions based on their pet's needs. * Provide accurate information (e.g., product features, pricing, and after-sales services). * Respond to customer needs, special requests and complaints and alert the manager as needed. * Conduct price and feature comparisons to facilitate purchasing. * Cross-selling products. * Ensure the racks and tables are fully stocked. * Manage returns of merchandise. * Inform customers about pet grooming upgrades, discounts, and special offers. * Provide customer feedback to the Store Manager. * Stay up to date with new products/services. * Follows Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Palo Alto's operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling, safety, and security. * Assist with inventory, stocking shelves and special orders. * Maintain a clean and organized workspace and store environment. * Open and close the store (including POS reports). * Maintain presentation of doggie treats & cakes. * Keep the store clean of pet accidents, dust & hair. Skills Required: * 1 year or more of proven work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Sales Associate, or similar role * Candidate must be enthusiastic, have compassion for the dogs and pets that we assist, be sales oriented and have the ability to multi-task. * Experience handling dogs is helpful.
