Description: Industrial Valve Sales and Service is seeking a technician that will conduct assembly, disassembly, set-up, and testing of valve actuators & geared products. They will provide field services for preventive maintenance, installation, and commissioning of valve actuators. Some travel will be required. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assembly of new and repaired valve actuators & gearboxes. * Disassemble valve actuators geared products when necessary. * Accurately measure, inspect, and assess needed repairs. * Read assembly drawings and workorders to ensure proper actuator set-up. * Ability to use basic electrical tools and test benches. * Properly set-up valves actuators to ensure they meet specifications, tolerances, and other customer requirements. * The ability to work off verbal and written instructions. * Ability to operate forklift and crane. * Conduct safe rigging of materials. * Safely operate company vehicles and maintain a DOT physical year to year. * Travel to customer sites when needed to perform work. * Other duties related to the assembly & field services department. Requirements: * Valid Driver's License * High School Diploma or Equivalent SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: * Mechanical aptitude * Understanding of basic electrical theories * Basic math skills * Read wire diagrams, blueprints & schematics * Use of forklift * Use of cranes and rigging NOT REQUIRED BUT A PLUS: * Welding * Manual machining * Strong Electrical/Mechanical aptitude * Repair of industrial equipment such as gearboxes, electric motors, pumps.
