POSITION SUMMARY & GOALS: Retail Sales Associates are a unique team of individuals who are responsible for maximizing store sales by having thorough product knowledge and ensuring that each customer is provided a well-rounded, superior customer service experience. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provides a branded and inviting first impression for customers by making sure all areas of the store are presentable at all times. 2. Provides fast, friendly, and knowledgeable service with a sense of urgency. Provides attentive, courteous, and professional service while maintaining a high-level of product knowledge and balancing day-to-day tasks. 3. Possesses strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to multi-task daily tasks (stocking, zoning, merchandising etc.) with customer service demands. 4. Provides solutions and recommends display and product improvements based upon customer trends to increase sales. 5. Maintains flexibility in learning other functions throughout the store. Committed to continuous training and development of skills including but not limited to product knowledge and selling strategies. 6. Masters the POS system and maintains up-to-date knowledge of cashiering and POS functions while on scheduled cashiering shifts in order to provide customers with a quick, easy, and secure checkout. 7. Monitors all sales space for proper replenishing of merchandise. In accordance with procedures, replaces merchandise as appropriate to the level of sales. Checks to make sure that appropriate merchandise is properly marked with price tags or SKU numbers. Notifies management when products are in need of reordering. 8. Protects company assets by following all policies and procedures. (Cashiering procedures, Internal and External Theft, etc.) 9. Takes on additional tasks as needed. OTHER FUNCTIONS: 1. Provide customer assistance with lifting/carrying large or bulky items. 2. Provides assistance to other team members as needed. Demonstrates teamwork at all times. Position Description 3. Assists with training other team members as needed and may assist with onboarding new team members as a training Buddy. 4. May be asked to lead product knowledge and other sales workshops for small and large groups of customers.
