Job Overview 10+ years Home Improvement direct sales experience is a must & 5 years in upper level sales management; Landscape Industry experience a plus. Our company is looking for an experienced senior professional who is motivated, proactive, and highly effective to be the Sales Director of our successful company. They must have Home Improvement direct sales experience, including directing other managers, as they will be managing our team of Sales Managers and also our South Bay Sales team. The successful candidate strategically and tactically manages overall company team sales operations including meeting sales objectives/goals/budgets while maintaining the company's designated closing percentage and sales profits. Responsibilities include daily hands-on management of our sales managers, handling client relationships, and management/development of our headquarters' pilot South Bay Team of salespeople (Project Design Specialists). They will use their proven sales management strategies and thorough knowledge of sales processes to provide innovative ideas for business growth, driving the company's top-line sales strategies while achieving budgets and providing long-term profitability. Home improvement sales and direct sales experience are a must; landscape industry experience is a plus. Job Responsibilities and Duties * Follow, develop and implement effective sales and sales management strategies * Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board * Effectively manage a successful South Bay team. * Create, review and analyze sales reports and forecasts * Lead Sales Managers company-wide to achieve sales targets * Maintain, enhance and participate in company's sales training programs for new and existing Project Design Specialists * Monitor sales performance and hold team(s) and their sales people accountable for results * Analyze market trends and behaviors * Maintain healthy working relationships with clients * Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts * Aid in the negotiation and help close agreements with large customers * Evaluate performance metrics and suggest improvements for the Sales Managers and their people as needed. * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts * Perform research and identify new potential market opportunities * Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients' needs * Liaise with Marketing department to ensure brand consistency Sales Directors complete a variety of other leadership responsibilities, including: * Use market data, statistics, and trends to establish sales goals * Review marketing inadequacies and adjust plans * Manage sales budgets * Motivate, recognize and reward top sales producers * Prepare timely sales forecasts and reports * Track and analyze sales data to find strengths and weaknesses * Develop and implement sales procedures and policies * Approve large client contracts * Recruit, hire, and train new Project Design Specialists for the South Bay team. * Network with potential business partners and clients * Create presentations for meetings, business partners, corporate executives, and shareholders Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing or similar field; advanced degree preferred * Minimum of 5 years of experience in an upper level sales management position, preferably as a Sales Director or National Sales Manager * In-Home home improvement sales background * Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and Google Suite * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills * Working knowledge of market trends and behaviors * Experience managing an effective, high-performance sales team * Knowledge of CRM software and other sales management software * Ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics * Excellent negotiation skills * Strong team management skills * Availability to travel to our other territories as needed Skills and Attributes * Strong critical and analytical thinking abilities * Works well under pressure * Proactive, positive and problem-solving attitude * Team player mentality * Customer-service orientation * Ability to hold others accountable and provide feedback WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US * Strong leadership, ongoing training and continued support from the management team & staff. * Proven professional and ongoing product and sales training program. * Quality sales tools and a customer financing program with a high approval rate. * Products, services and a company reputation you are proud to represent. * Family-owned and operated team environment with an opportunity to earn what you are worth.
