Description: Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Sales Operations Engineer with a strong background in design engineering to join a growing team in the electronics manufacturing industry. This role will bridge technical expertise and internal team collaboration, playing a key role in ensuring successful project delivery, managing team dynamics, and supporting both external customers and internal stakeholders. What You'll Do: Technical Sales & Quoting * Engage with customers to understand their applications and technical needs. * Lead the quote-to-order process: technical review, pricing strategy, purchase order evaluation, and production handoff. * Analyze designs for manufacturability and compliance with customer specs. * Coordinate with production, supply chain, and engineering to align quotes with lead times and capabilities. * Lead kickoff calls and technical meetings; adjust schedules to meet changing priorities. Team & Project Coordination * Work with internal assembly teams to meet project deadlines, resolve technical issues, and support production. * Coordinate with internal team to streamline workflows and resolve any technical or logistical issues that may arise during the project lifecycle. * Champion cross-department collaboration to ensure smooth execution from quote through delivery. * Share technical knowledge and support training initiatives to align teams on best practices. Customer Engagement & Business Development * Present technical solutions with confidence--both internally and to customers. * Build strong client relationships and identify new opportunities to expand business. * Support proposal development and stay ahead of industry trends to strengthen quoting strategy. * Represent the company at trade shows, customer visits, and outreach events. Requirements: * Strong analytical skills for cost estimation and quoting. * Excellent communication abilities - you can explain complex technical concepts to both customers and internal teams. * Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, and production teams. * Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized, capable of managing multiple projects. * Proficiency in project management software and presentation tools (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint, Zoom, Microsoft Teams). * Experience with CRM systems and quoting software is a plus. Education and Experience: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace preferred) or a related field. * Experience in electronics manufacturing, precision machining, Aerospace & Defense, or related industries is preferred. * Familiarity with CRM systems and quoting software is a plus.
