In addition to being a top tourist destination, we also offer a range of event spaces, partnership opportunities, and sponsorship deals for businesses and organizations to enhance their brand presence and engage with our diverse audience. Job Description: City Museum is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for selling event space, partnership packages, and sponsorship deals. As a Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in promoting the City Museum experience as an exceptional venue for events. Key Responsibilities: Event Space Sales: * Actively prospect and identify potential clients for hosting events at the City Museum, including corporate events, weddings, private parties, museum buyouts, and more. * Conduct tours of event spaces, effectively communicating the unique features and benefits of hosting events at City Museum. * Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients throughout the event planning process. * Create customized event proposals and contracts tailored to the specific needs of clients. * Utilize event software tool, Tripleseat, to draft proposals, create contracts, organize event space bookings, and distribute invoices * Work closely with other museum departments to communicate event details for flawless execution for each event. * Manage the invoicing and collection of payments in a timely manner. Partnership and Sponsorship Sales: * Identify and approach businesses and organizations for potential partnership and sponsorship opportunities. * Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative and impactful partnership proposals. * Manage the negotiation and closing of partnership and sponsorship deals. * Ensure that partnership and sponsorship agreements are executed effectively, delivering on promised benefits. Client Relationship Management: * Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships. * Address client inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and professionally. * Regularly follow up with clients to ensure their satisfaction and secure repeat business. * Attend each contracted event during set-up to ensure all contracted details are executed and any client requests are managed by the sales rep. Market Research and Analysis: * Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging opportunities. * Use market research to refine and improve sales strategies. Qualifications: * Applicants must be 21 years of age or older * Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred * Exceptional communication and presentation skills. * Strong negotiation and closing skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Knowledge of the St. Louis business and events market is a plus. * Must be able to work weekends and holidays when required. * A passion for City Museum and an understanding of its offerings. Physical Requirements: * Must be able to stand for extended periods of time * Must be able to lift, carry, move, and/or position items weighing up to or in excess of 50 pounds. * Ability to climb stairs Hours and Schedule: * This is a non-exempt position and may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete the workload. * This role will need to be flexible and able to work a non-traditional schedule. Hours will be Monday through Friday from 8:30am - 5pm, but will also include shifts that are weeknights and weekends based on the event rental schedule.
