As a Door-to-Door Appointment Setter, your mission is simple--but powerful: build genuine connections with homeowners, educate them on the benefits of clean energy, and set appointments for our solar consultants to take it from there. This isn't about pushing a product, it's about starting meaningful conversations that help families save money, gain energy independence, and make a lasting impact on the planet. You'll be trained to communicate with confidence, listen with empathy, and represent PurLight's values with integrity. Whether you're new to sales or looking to grow, this role is a launchpad. Once you master appointment setting, you'll have the opportunity to step into solar entrepreneurship and build your own path within our mission-driven company. Key Responsibilities: * Engage with homeowners in local neighborhoods through respectful and friendly door-to-door outreach. * Educate and inform families about the benefits of solar energy, including cost savings, environmental impact, and available incentives. * Build trust and rapport by listening to homeowners' needs and answering basic questions about solar in a clear and honest way. * Set qualified appointments for our solar consultants to conduct in-depth energy consultations. * Track and manage daily interactions using company tools and CRM systems to ensure accurate reporting and follow-up. * Stay up to date on solar industry trends, state/local programs, and PurLight's offerings to provide homeowners with current and relevant information. * Collaborate with the team to share insights, strategies, and celebrate wins in a supportive, mission-driven environment. * Represent PurLight 's values of integrity, excellence, and service in every interaction. Qualifications: * People-first mindset - you're approachable, a good listener, and genuinely enjoy connecting with others. * Excellent communication skills - clear, confident, and respectful in conversation, both face-to-face and over the phone. * Self-motivated and goal-oriented - driven to hit daily/weekly goals and open to feedback that helps you grow. * Comfortable working outdoors - willing to go door-to-door in residential neighborhoods for several hours a day. * Positive attitude and strong work ethic - brings energy to the team and doesn't shy away from putting in the work. * Coachable and eager to learn - open to training, mentorship, and continual improvement. * Reliable transportation - able to commute to designated areas for canvassing. * High school diploma or equivalent (preferred, but not required). * Sales or customer service experience is a plus--but not required. We'll train the right person with the right heart and hustle.
