This position is a salaried position 50K to 55K per year with the opportunity to earn 2% of our service gratuity for every event booked and completed. National Base Salary Rate: $22.10 - $25.50/hour Rate depends upon state/market OTO Development is pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for a Catering Sales Manager. * What will you be doing most days? * Solicit new accounts and maintain and strengthen relationships with existing accounts * Generate a minimum of 50 calls weekly encompassing telemarketing, site inspections, and outside field calls with weekly documentation * Responsible for prospecting, qualifying, selling, and closing * Meet with or call individual, corporate, and social clients by telephone to solicit annual, weekday, and weekend business * Meet with clients and conduct a professional, thorough site inspection of the hotel with them exhibiting the key features and benefits of the hotel * Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients * Develop client menus, write contracts and letters, as well as, organize all other arrangements as they relate to social and corporate events * Work to continuous meet or exceed sales goals * Supervise and attend the overall set up and implementation of events and meetings * Take full ownership of all functions such as processing payment * Provide prompt guest service and timely follow up with prospective clients * Participate as a team player with other key leaders and demonstrate hospitable behavior as a role model for all other team members * Develop full working knowledge of the operations of the Conference Center, including Food and Beverage Department, Guest Services, and Housekeeping * What are the requirements for this position? * You are action oriented and have strong negotiating skills * You have strong leadership skills and business acumen * You have a passion for numbers and know how to meet and exceed budgets * You are a skilled communicator * You have a valid driver's license * You have a college degree or equivalent experience * Physical Requirements for this Position This is primarily a sedentary role; however, at times it can be a physically demanding position.
