General Description: Founded more than 30 years ago, Centaurus Financial, Inc. ("CFI") is a full- service broker-dealer and registered investment adviser catering to the independent investment professional. We are currently seeking a Business Development Support Specialists to join our Leesburg, VA corporate location. This position is a full-time role reporting to our Business Development, Recruiting and Information Technology leadership teams. Essential duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following: * Providing onboarding support to new financial professionals who join CFI. This includes coordinating initial required training, the collection and electronic filing of related regulatory registration documents, the review and collection of CFI onboarding documents, assistance with prepopulating transfer paperwork for the financial professional's clients to sign, etc. * Providing technical and business processing workflow support to both new and existing financial professionals related to the various software platforms that CFI administers to conduct business (i.e. DocuSign, LaserApp, Laserfiche, etc.) * Providing recruiting marketing support to our business development team which may include conducting market research, creating promotional materials, creating and maintaining email marketing campaigns, calling potential recruits, etc. * Assisting CFI's Accounts Receivable department in the collection of certain expenses payable by the firm's financial professionals (Errors and Omissions (insurance premiums, etc.). * Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned Position Requirements (knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform satisfactorily in the position): * Experience in the independent financial services channel (preferred but not required) * Series 7 or similar financial services licensing (preferred but not required) * Strong customer service skills * Strong communication skills (written and oral) * Strong technical knowledge and acumen * Strong typing proficiency * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to work with a team and independently * Positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism, strong work ethic, flexibility and the ability to work collaboratively with other personnel/departments. * Ability to multitask and perform various tasks with a high level of attention to detail. * Ability to organize tasks, manage time, and prioritize. * Interest in and a desire for a long-term career in financial services. Centaurus Financial Inc. follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees. This includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. Although bonuses are discretionary, Centaurus has paid a bonus every year in its 30+ year history. No relocation expense/reimbursement to this area is available.
