Job description Technical Sales Specialist - Marshall Wolf Automation, a fast growing Industrial Automation distributor located in Algonquin, IL, has a support position open in our sales department. The ideal candidate should possess in depth knowledge of industrial automation products including variable frequency drives, relays, sensors and motors. Outstanding customer service skills are key. Essential Duties & Responsibilities required are as follows: * Provide technical product support liaison for OEM and wolfautomation.com customers and inside support staff * Pre-sales specifications and cross referencing of components based on customer needs * Prepare & follow up on quotations and provide customers with accurate documentation * Understand and apply product knowledge to solve incoming sales inquiries * Customer interaction via phone, email, live chat and face to face * Assist in the maintenance and accuracy of the components offered on website * Identify, pursue and grow local OEM sales opportunities * Track and document all opportunities in CRM Required Competencies: * Strong knowledge of VFD's (setup and basic programming), automation and industrial control products * Creative thinking, Problem Solving and Technical expertise * Resourceful. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and be detail oriented * Excellent Written and Oral Communication aptitude * Friendly phone and interpersonal communication skills * Technical Support Experience * Professional and Highly Organized * Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Oracle NetSuite * Technical Degree preferred. * Prior Technical Support and automation sales experience helpful Our ideal candidate should be goal oriented and be willing to grow within the company. Some travel may be required (5-10%) as technical support for local sales engineers. This position reports to our Sales Manager.
