Full description of the position
BASIC PURPOSE: Strategically plan, execute, and manage the overall sales and marketing efforts for two hotels to achieve optimal occupancy and revenue. Utilize effective Direct Sales and Revenue Management strategies to maximize revenue and meet/exceed profit objectives for both properties. Must exemplify Hilton's core values: Hospitality, Integrity, Leadership, Teamwork, Ownership, and NOW. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Revenue Growth and Market Saturation: * Responsible for meeting/exceeding top-line revenues for both hotels and growing RevPAR compared to the comp set as noted in Smith Travel Reports. * Serve as the sales leader for both properties, ensuring all appropriate markets are saturated. * Develop and articulate Sales Strategic Plans and monthly action plans for each hotel, detailing efforts to solicit business from corporate, SMERF, and other applicable markets. * Provide leadership, guidance, and training to sales team members across both properties, ensuring consistent achievement of sales call goals. * Manage function space bookings, meeting room rentals, A/V, and F&B for both hotels. * Build rapport, prospect, qualify, present, negotiate, and close new business while servicing current accounts. * Ensure sales call documentation for both properties is recorded in the sales automation system. * Implement company programs and manage sales/marketing efforts in alignment with KWB policies and procedures. * Prepare, analyze, and review rooms revenue presentations for owners. (50%) * Team Leadership and Training: * Attract, retain, and motivate associates across both properties. * Hire, train, develop, empower, coach, and counsel sales staff, including Sales Managers, Sales Coordinators, and Event Meeting Managers, as well as front desk staff. (10%) * Forecasting and Budgeting: * Partner with General Managers, Area Director of Sales, and regional support staff to generate forecasts (monthly, quarterly) and budgets (annual and departmental) for both hotels. * Survey, review, and analyze competition, market trends, customer needs, and comments to develop new plans and programs for each property. (15%) * Brand Relationships and Tools: * Maximize brand relationships by working with national account managers, group desks, and regional support to gain market share for both hotels. * Utilize and update brand tools, including RFP qualifiers, web tools, packaging, and reports. * Complete all required brand training for both properties. (15%) * Leadership Development: * Demonstrate leadership skills by consistently growing responsibilities, strengthening skill sets, and engaging with staff across both properties. * Possess a solutioning mindset. Cultivate an environment of collaboration and enthusiasm to find solutions to opportunities which arise. Execute applicable solutions to reach positive outcomes for both hotels. (5%) NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned by Area DOS, General Managers, District Manager, and/or Home Office team members. * Conduct property tours for both hotels. * Inventory sales collateral for both properties. * Participate in the hotels' Quality Programs. * Ensure professional dress code and behavior for the sales team at both properties during work, meetings, and events. (5%) KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Education: Four-year college degree or equivalent education/experience. Experience: Two to three years in a similar position within the hotel sales discipline, preferably with multi-property experience. Skills and Abilities: * Advanced knowledge of sales/marketing/hospitality principles and practices. * Ability to manage people, solve complex problems, and execute efficient sales activities across multiple properties. * Highly developed communication skills for presenting, negotiating, selling, and influencing managerial personnel, hotel guests, and corporate clients. * Proficiency in writing, computer skills, brand systems, and sales database systems (e.g., Sales Pro, Delphi). SUPERVISION: No. of employees supervised: 1-2 associates per property. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: * Local travel required weekly for both properties. * National and international travel may be required a minimum of four to five times a year. HOURS REQUIRED: * 45-50 hours over a five-day period, with flexibility based on business demands and needs across both properties. ENVIRONMENT: Physical Job Requirements: * Mobility and driving required for outside sales calls, meetings, and events across both properties. * Clear communication, vision, speech, and literacy are critical for managing dual-property responsibilities.KWB Hotels, LLC
