JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Manager of National Sales and Business Development will oversee a team of independent sales representatives across the country and manage a Partnership Sales Lead who supports both the Senior Manager and customer accounts. This role provides comprehensive commercial support for the independent bookstore sales channel in our licensed sales division, ensuring that revenue targets and growth objectives are met. The Senior Manager will act as the primary point of contact for external sales representatives, offering strategic and tactical insights, while also coordinating activities and projects internally across business units. The position requires a collaborative approach to support new and existing partnerships and will work closely with the VP of Licensed Sales to identify and pursue new business opportunities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (includes other duties as required): * Manage and guide independent sales representatives and the Partnership Sales Lead, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer support. * Provide strategic and commercial support to optimize operations and revenue growth in the independent bookstore sales channel. * Serve as a strategic partner to external sales reps, addressing challenges and identifying growth opportunities. * Work cross-functionally with internal teams, including customer service, marketing, product development, and finance, to align on goals and streamline initiatives. * Coordinate projects and activities across business units to support the needs of external sales reps and bookstore partners. * Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing partners, providing tailored support to ensure their success. * Identify and act on growth opportunities within the independent bookstore channel and beyond. * Collaborate with the VP of Licensed Sales to explore new business opportunities, including entering new markets and expanding current accounts. * Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve revenue growth and market penetration. * Analyze sales data and market trends to inform decision-making and strategic planning. * Provide regular reports to senior leadership on channel performance, challenges, and opportunities. * Attend and support tradeshows. *SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
