The ideal candidate will have the ability to follow work procedures per OEM specifications, diagnose issues accurately, maintain a clean work area, have a positive attitude and the ability to work well with others and keep our company culture positive and continue to want to grow their own professional and technical career. Automotive service technicians play a vital role in maintaining and repairing vehicles. Their key responsibilities include: 1. Diagnostics and Problem-Solving * Identifying mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment. * Listening to customers' concerns to pinpoint problems. 2. Maintenance and Repairs * Performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake servicing, and fluid checks. * Repairing or replacing faulty parts in engines, transmissions, brakes, or electrical systems. * Handle used car inspections and pre owned inventory maintenance and repairs 3. Inspection and Testing * Conducting safety inspections to ensure vehicles meet roadworthiness standards. * Testing vehicle performance after repairs to confirm issues are resolved. 4. Use of Tools and Technology * Operating advanced diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and specialized machinery. * Staying updated on new technologies in modern vehicles, such as hybrid or electric systems. 5. Customer Communication * Explaining vehicle issues and repairs to customers in understandable terms. * Providing cost estimates and advising on necessary and optional repairs. 6. Record Keeping * Documenting work performed, parts used, and services recommended for future reference. * Maintaining accurate records for warranty and insurance claims. 7. Compliance and Safety * Following workplace safety standards and environmental regulations. * Ensuring repairs comply with manufacturer specifications and industry standards. 8. Continuous Learning * Staying current with automotive advancements through training and certifications. * Gaining expertise in emerging technologies like electric vehicles and autonomous systems. These responsibilities require technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently. Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Certification from a vocational school, ASE certification or 2+ years of mechanical repair experience at a licensed facility. * Proven experience as a service Technician with references. * Have own tool box and tools * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. * Good communication and teamwork skills. * Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
